TOPICS INCLUDE DESIGNING HOW WE CONVEY/OBTAIN INFORMATION AND HOW IT RELATES TO FASHION, PRODUCT, AND ARCHITECTURAL INNOVATIONS. BLIGHT IS A MAGAZINE WHICH HOSTS DESIGN CONVERSATIONS ABOUT URBAN ISSUES BY INVESTIGATING THE UNDER REPRESENTED AND OVEREXPOSED.
The third issue identifies the everyday phenomenon of “broken design” as the platform for creativity which arises from inquiry.
Designers and collaborators look at broken designs and dissect them until opportunity shines through. Today, we are encouraged to fail fast, cheap and hard, trying out many different ideas to arrive at the best solutions. Through failure and iteration, is it possible to anticipate and avoid broken design or is it an evolutionary enigma? We invite you to explore cross disciplinary connections, solutions and processes with us through the lens of design.

Nature's Insight (How Might Nature)
Nature’s Insight is a brainstorming game that draws from natural examples, human problems and life’s principles to generate new ideas. The game educates users about biomimicry and illuminates the inspirational insights life’s principles have to offer. All ideas are welcome. The goal is for participants to expand their thinking while increasing awareness of sustainability in design and actively incorporating life’s principles. As participants play, they learn that life’s principles are not a constraint, but rather inspiration for more innovative ideas than previously imagined. The game is versatile and can be adapted to any discipline.
Nature's Insight Card Deck
Our team simplified the board game concept into a deck of three types of cards that allow for three different types of game play.
